It’s fair to say that particular chapter in the ongoing movement against police violence has come to an end. Let’s put some myths to rest.

The George Floyd Uprising (by which I mean the street protest movement against police violence and racism that unfolded between May 26th 2020 and April 20th 2021) was widely debated and misrepresented by thousands of commentators and public figures who had absolutely no connection to the movement. Unsuprisingly, this led to a number of powerful myths which to this day continue to be widely believed.
