The Coming Revival of the Rape Charges Against DMX
Legally speaking, DMX is Innocent. Let’s get out in front of this.
I never cared too much about DMX. He’s an all right rapper, but I don’t care for his lyrics, and that growling monster style he copped from Onyx never really did it for me. He died either yesterday or today, generating a wave of RIP posts and tribute articles. Then, like clockwork, folks on social media started posting that he was a known rapist.
It’s true that DMX has been accused of rape. Here’s a story about that, which came out immediately in the wake of the first accusations:
And here’s a story that came out, after a DNA test administered during the pre-trial phase of his indictment showed that DMX was not the man who raped that woman. The state dropped the charges, and DMX went free.
