On the whole, I agree with this article (50 claps!), but I've never been convinced on the subject of individual lifestyle choices being irrelevant. Look at those corporations that cause % of global emissions - they're fossil fuel companies. They drill all that oil because people buy it to run their cars, trucks, and planes; because it gets processed into plastic things that people buy and throw away, and that gets shipped all over the world on those same fuel-burning vehicles; because it fuels electrical plants that people use to run their air conditioners and servers all day. Yes, corporations need to be regulated and the government needs to stop subsidizing the fossil fuel industry; but the blame for much of this fossil fuel consumption goes right back to the individual.
